Holy Coffee I love you.

Posted on by Rebecca Green

So I quit drinking coffee for a bit. Gave myself a cleanse. It's back in my life and I couldn't be happier! I've lowered my amount, right, so thats good?

Speaking of coffee...I started laying in the paint on my large painting for my upcoming show last night. Its a 3x7ish painting of two dogs, about 20 coffee and tea mugs, a girl and a kitten. I'm not sure what it means yet but when I work on it, it reminds me of my childhood. (even though pets were not allowed on the table)

The dogs and the girl are a little more realistic in this painting, but I am having fun with it. I hate the idea of shoving myself in a box and having to simplify everything. I like working on the verge of realism sometimes. Its such a touchy line. We'll see how it goes, and I'll keep you updated.

In other news, scientists discovered a 300 million yr old forrest in China, under coal. Others discovered a new amphibian in Northern India. It's a worm looking friend, and the mother wraps herself around the eggs for three months and doesn't eat to keep them warm. I also saw the world's tiniest frog. oooh little thing. Like a quarter size of a dime.

Why am I telling you all this? Because the world is beautiful. The sun has a couple billion years before it burns out. Humans have some time left to smile and dance. So if you read this, I hope you smile and dance.

ps. Send me your cat/dog pictures yo!
